Yes I do, I do goddamn hate my current work at the darn project!!! Why, you may aks me, because there is no consistency in this shithole, while one says you to do this, the other tells you quite the opposite. And even when you do everything, just like they said, they just have to change something, and then you have to do it all over again. Well, this is why I hate this place, but on the whole, I have quite a nice team working with me, and also I am thinking about looking for some other job. But, the time'll tell, so now, at the moment, I am still there doin' my thin' :))
Yesterday and the day before yesterday, I spent whole days and evenings translating the Beeb thing and prior to that the office thing. Anyway, this last week was the most boring one, and also the most snowy one, as I am writing these lines it's still snowing, and its snowing hard!!!
Today, Muzaffar [our office manager, quite a nice lad] took my laptop for a repair, its CD ROM was broken, so I spent entire day just doing nothing. Well of course, there were some oral translations to do, but nothing much else!!!
After, finishing off with my job, I came home and finished off my Beeb translation and sent them back to the office, I hope there weren't that many mistakes. Well, this is it for my today's ramblings!!!

"Gap"
What a day!!! Yesterday was raining and snowing. We had a party with guys from my Nafis san'at lycee, this party is called "Gap" in Tashkent, which means "talking", and this is what we usually do there. We sit and talk, have fun, prepare very good osh or plov as it also called and just enjoy the company of each other. So, today was a day of gap. But firstly I prepared myself, took a shower, then called Firuza and we decided to meet at Amir Temur square. After a while, just after reading some interesting sci-fi story in Spanish, I had to go to meet her. I arrived right on time, and to my greatest surprise met my old friend from University of World Languages, Alisher, we spoke for a while, I even gave him my business card and then he had to go. So, after seeing him off, I saw that Firuza was already waiting for me, so first we went to Demir, because she wanted to meet her old friend, we stood there for a while. I noticed that they were selling quite good looking Puma sneakers for 19$ and thought that i should buy them!!! Then we went to bookstore, man if i had lots of money, I'd buy all of these books, well, at least half of them :))
We also went to see some CDs and videos, and then she told me that she has to go home, so I had to go to Beruniy metro station quite early. But, before going there, I though that a meeting place was in some other metro station, and tried to call Hasan and G'ulom, and at last could talk to Hasan, who told me that we meet in Beruniy.
I arrived there 30 min earlier, and had to wait for all the company's arrival. Fortunately, Hasan was driving a car, so we went there on car, and then it started snowing. A place where the gap was to be held, was quite good, we call such places Choykhona, which means Tearoom or a place where you drink tea :))
When everybody arrived, we had a very tasty plov, the conversation was flowing and we had many interesting debates. All in all, the gap was perfect. Alisher from BBC World Service also came and we talked about Kyrgyzstan, and that after Ukraine, this country is a next place of the velvet or orange revolution. Anyway, we had a quite interesting party. Alisher took me and Adham until Universam, and then I waited for a while for 60 to arrive and finally came home.
At home, I spent the night watching the final series of the Joe Millionaire, where he confesses to these ladies, who he really is. This was quite an interesting moment, to see how two different women will react, to tell you the truth, I was on Zora's side and was very happy when she decided to continue her journey with him. And right after this show, I started watching Love Actually with Hugh Grant, Liam Neesonand other wonderful actors. I dunno why this movie was criticized, because I haven't seen any moive like this one for quite a long time. Of course, I am fan of British comedies and movies, but this movie is very emotional and touching, that I even wanted to inlcude this movie and of course Joe Millionaire in this blog posting :))
Today's ramblings
This morning, me and my mom, we went jogging. A weather was beatiful, the sun was shining, birds were chirping, roads were covered with snow, life was wonderful. Then, we suddenly decided to go the Oloy market and supermarket Demir. After getting some money from my dad, we finally made our way to Oloy market, and I bought some good looking jeans, and at Demir, I bought myself those sneakers I noticed yesterday. And then, we made our way back home, we had a perfect shopping day. At home, I tried jeans and sneakers on, in order to show to my dad, and he liked them both, yay. All in all, the day was and is still goooood :)))

My dad's birthday party
The 20th January - My beloved father's birthday, early in the morning I was first to congratulate him and to give him my present. Then, we all had to go to work, I arrived a bit late, but there was no one in the office. Hopefully, I finished off the damn Technical Proposal thing and also translated some CVs of dumb European experts, who don't know a thing about Uzbekistan, but want to help in this country's development. For instance, I found two CVs where in the section about an experience in the Central Asian region, there was a note saying, that "I have no specific exeprience in this region, but I have in similar conditions." And guess where were these similar conditions, in Kosovo, what the f***!!! How can one compare Uzbekistan to war-torn Kosovo, man this is ridiculous, anyway these are the experts, which will come and try to be helpful :)))
After finsihing off with my translations, I decided to work on my website and also to list my blog in some rating systems, and after finsihing this I decided to go home, cause there must be guests waiting for me :))
Well, I was darn right, the house was full of guests, and more arrived later, we had a really good party, I ever had in my entire life, we sat until 3 in the morning of 21 January. We spoke about different things and laughed, anyway the party was fantastic. If it wasn't for my stupid relative, Surat, we would've sat much more longer, but he was insisting that it was too late, and that's why other guests also decided to leave, though one could see they wanted to stay longer :))
Also, I received a call from my buddy, BG, and he told me that there'll be a party on Saturday, and I said that I will go there for sure, since I already missed a lot of good parties. So, there's a party on Saturday!!!
At last, after cleaning the house I went to bed, not exactly to bed, I slept in the hall, becasue my dad's room was cold and he decided to sleep in my room.

He's comin', he's comin'...
"He's coming, he's coming, he's here have no fear..."
This was the song we were singing to us in the office, but instead having no fear we were having a real panic, why so, you may ask yourself? It's because our boss was coming back to work, and he wasn't at the office for quite a while and we kinda get used to this and were liking it :))
Anyway, he came and we held a briefing, where everyone was told what to do. After so many days of nothing-doing we all started working or acting as we were working. I started working hard on the damn Technical Proposal, which was a real pain in the ass. It was written by a Russian speaking woman, and it was all in English, which I am sure even she can't understand and the most stupid thing was that I had to translate this paper back into the Russian.
After, having such a crazy day, went back home and tried to do some of the Beeb item on the forthcoming Kyrgyz elections and what might happen during these elections, quite an interesting item. However, I was pretty tired, so I decided to finish it off later. Instead, I went to have some refreshing shower and then went to sleep. This is it for today's ramblings...
FBI: Female Body Inspector
The day started really nice, the sun was shining bright, though it was pretty cold outside. I arrived to my work right on time to find that there is no Internet, damn, in this case I thought, I'll start working on my BBC item, and so I did.
After a few hours, we went to Kasym's osh, which was organized in memory of his recently died mother. Me and Mantelis [my Greek boss], we stood for almost three hours otuside, greeting those who arrived to this solemn celebration. After spending some three hours outside, in the cold we finally made our way inside to have some plov :))
Then, me and guys, Dilshod and Husan, we smoked for a while, talking about what interesting cars we have in Tashkent. And suddently, Dilshod saud that he saw a car with the FBI writing on it, and he sayd that the meaning of this word was: Female Body Inspector, man that was really funny.
At last, we arrived back to work, and I finished off my Beeb item and worked for a while on other office items. When time came for us to leave, I turned off my computer and went out, but when I almost reached a metro station, which was pretty far from the parliament building where we work, I realized that i left my cell phone at the office, darn it, but i continued my way and went home. At home, I called back to office, telling them to turn if off, and then tried for many hours to log on the Internet, so that I could send my finished item to the Beeb, but all was in wane. So, I gave up and went to sleep.

Back to work
Back to work, yup at last, since the whole last week was spent indoors, of course i've been to some places of the city, but only few hours. Anyway, it was pretty hard to wake up that early, but there was something else to do, which required my early raising form the bed.
At last the time came for us, me and dad, to leave and so we did, rumbo al norte :))
It wasn't that cold, but it was pretty slippery, hopefully i got to work safe and sound. Whole day was spent on the net, since there was nothing much to do. I called the Beeb, because I received a letter from Akila, where she was asking whether I have time to process some Kyrgyz political items from Russian into English, I replied that I definitely do have time. I even called to the BBC Monitoring office and talked with Nilufar about those items, later this day she sent me three jpeg files, because they scanned them, and I thought, that now i had to again use Abby Finereader and recognize the whole text by myself, but hopefully i found out that even these files are printable, and that made me pretty happy. After printing these itmes, time came for me and the whole Tacis team to leave home and so we did. Well, this is it for now, the day wasn't that boring, but it also wasn't that much interesting :)))

Hello my dear Bloggie
What a day, it was snowing for two days already, of course it stopped snowing for some time, but now it is snowing really hard. Yesterday we had a really great day, I moved to this Blogging service and worked on the blog design, adding some codes and links.
Today, my cousin Anvar, moved in to my place and my uncle also visited us. We had a really nice plov together, well you really have to live in Uzbekistan to taste this perfect dish, a king of dishes, do mark my word.
Later this afternoon I went to barber's shop. Since, I've been here some months ago, I tried really hard to remember which was the floor and what was the number of the barber's apt. After dealing with this delicate issue, and after looking much prettier I went back home and spent the entire evening in the front of the TV. Well, I watched a very interesting movie, called "Men of honour", starring Robert de Niro and Cuba G. Jr. It was a very impressive movie about a young black man, leaving during the times of racism in the States and who was trying really darn hard to prove to his white fellahs, that he's equal and even better then they really are. I was really impressed, after all this was a real story of a courage and bravery, I even recored this movie :)))
After such an impressive movie, I went to bed, and I think this is it for my today's ramblings!!!
