D-Day - Day of Gap

Well, today is yet another day when we are having our party with guys Gap!!! I woke up early and finshed my translation, then tried to logon to my website, in order to make some chnages, but the server refused to let me in :((
My mom wanted to buy some present for my sister, a Russian made mincing machine, that's why we went to Chilonzor trade center, but we couldn't get one. The thing is that, those stupid sellers wanted to fool us, that is they wanted to persuade us that a price tag on the machine wasn't its price, but a serial number, I said what the f***!!! They thought, that they can fool us and get some more money for this thing, no way...
After my mom bought some materials we went to Amir Temur, cause I had to pay for my cell-phone, also I tried to reach Feruza and tell her that I can't meet with her today. At last, I could talk to her, and only some 30 minutes before our meeting which should have taken place, I had to lie her that I am at work now and can't meet with her. The thing is that I had some things to do on the net, that's why I had to lie...
I talked to Adham and he explayned me where the gap will be held, the good thing is that this place is so close that I can virtually go there by foot. And this is exactly what I did, but when I finally arrived to Choyxona I couldn't find Adham, that's why I decided to call Husan. He told me that he's near metro at Shahriston, since they didn't know where to go I decided to bring them, and of course went there by foot, because this place was realtively close to Choyxona. I reached them and found him with two more of my friends, then the fourth came and we decided not to wait for the others and move to choyxona. Finally, we all gathered, but there was something wrong and this was that the place was pretty cold and we were sharing one room with other group of gap-goers. However, we had a great time there, talking about different issues and recalling our old dayz in lycee. I came home quite late and immediately started working on my dad's page, I added three new pages and worked until 2 o'clock in the morning!!!

Some binge

It's snowing again, dammit, just two dayz ago the spring was coming, but it seems that it stopped on its way and won't arrive for some time :((
However, even if its snowing it's not that cold, I arrived to my work pretty late, because my dad's driver was pretty late, anyway I told my boss that I forgot my pass and had to go back home to get it, sweet lies sometimes make miracles :))
Checked my e-mail and noticed that I've got two items from the Beeb, because I called yesterday evening and talked with Vicky about this. I printed those items out and prepared myself for the heave work...
Also, I received a call from BG who told me that we'll have a party on Saturday, cool!!! I also talked to Adham, in order to find out where do we meet!!! Then, later in the noon, I met with Abdulla and gave him his money. We spoke about the Beeb's internal affairs for a while and then I had to get back to my work.
At work I called to the Beeb once again and spoke with the Tajik team, because I had to know where should I excerpt the Tajik item I received. This item is quite an oppositional one from the Tajik opposition newspaper Charog-i Ruz, which is issued in Moscow. Anyway, the article strongly condemns the current political regime in Tajikistan, quite an interesting article I'd say. I started translating some, but soon the time came for us to go home, but instead me and my colleagues, we decided to go to some cafe and drink some vodka!!!
Well, frankly I hate vodka and the way it tastes, I prefer beer or vine to vodka, but since my friends wanted to drink vodka, I had no other option but to join them. Well, we drank one bottle of vodka and ate some stuff, all the time discussing different issues of common interest. When my mom called and inquired where I was, I had to lie that I'm still at work, however at home they finally found out that I had a small binge with my buddies. That's it...

Spring is coming...

Woke up early in the morning and went to see how was the weather outside, man it was sooo fresh and nice. I could feel that spring was really coming, since it started raining in the morning. I arrived to my work right on time, as usually, checked my e-mail, but there was nothing new, too bad :((
Surfed the net for a while, tuned my new browser K-Meleon, and added some nice links to my blog, such as Site feed XML link and Add to My Yahoo link. Apart from this, finished off my translation and received the new one. Ah yeah, we were planning to have a party tomorrow, but apparently it'll be postponed for the sixth time, because one of my colleagues Dilshod, lost his granddad, too bad...
Also, I was asking myself why there is no news from the Beeb, they used to give me something to translate, but they seem to have totally forgotten about me, that's why I am planning to give them a call and see if there's sumthin' for me to do:))
I went home reading Drakula's Diary, and in the metro I noticed some girl looking at me, well she was not bad at all, but as y'all know I am too shy to come up and to say hello. Even in the bus, we stood face to face and I just kept mum, sometimes I hate myself for being such a shy guy. Anyway, I went home without even trying to talk to her, at home I watched some TV and spoke with Feruza who called me in the evening!!!
Well, that's it for today, life is too boring, but the weather is perfect!!!

Testing different browsers

Woke up seeing some crazy dream, in which I spoke over then 40 minutes on the cell phone :))
Well, this is another working week and I really don't want to go to work, but I have to... [sigh] And, the weather was soo beautiful this morning!!! We were hurrying to work, because my dad had some morning meeting and was a bit late, but when we went down we noticed that a car he thought came after him, was not in fact after him and we had to wait.
I came to work right on time and started searching for a good browser, since my IE at the office is functioning in quite a funny manner, it just doesn't supports any Javascript, also at home I installed Mozilla Firefox and it rocks. Here, in the office, I was also using Opera 6, but it had many bugs, that's why I decided to uninstal it and install Firefox, but it was not operating in here. SO, I went to http://filebox.ru - quite an interesting Russian website with freeware and shareware software!!! From this page, I downloaded firstly Maxthon browser, but it was something like an IE plugin and this wasn't an answer to my problem, so I uninstalled it. Then, I tried several browser, but all of them weren't good enough, especially the PhaseOut 5.1 - it sucks, of course they tried really hard to make it look good, but since the whole layout was done in flash animation it was putting too much strain on my eyes. So, my heart sank, because I thought that I just ran out of luck, and just when I was thinking so, I found quite a good Mozilla like browser, called: K-Meleon, man it rocks. Of course it's not as good as Mozilla, but like Mozilla, you can read RSS feeds and this is quite useful, of course it also has a multi-tab window and pop-up blocker.
So, the whole morning was spent on browser hunt, and after finding the best one, I finally did some of my office work, translated some resumes and prepared a news review!!!
Back at home I worked for a while on my dad's website and cleaned my PC from viruses that came from www.uz!!! Really strange, I never expected viruses coming from the Uzbek website, however there were three viruses I removed with the help of Kaspersky Antivirus, and after finishing all of this I went to sleep!!! This is how, I started my new week:))

Bad-ass-police or drunkard husband

Well, this title has a very deep meaning, to see this meaning you have to read through the whole post!!!
Anyway, the weather was really good, one could feel that spring time was coming, at last!!!
Yesterday evening, my three aunts: Nasiba (plus her son: Eldor), Jamila and Nigora arrived from Samarkand, and we sat watching old video of my grandmother's birthday until 3 in the morning, we had a real good fun remembering those old and nice dayz...
Anyway, today morning we planned to go to my Erkin uncle's house, since he had his birthday and this was the only reason my aunts arrived. Also, I was planning to go to the supermarket today, that's why we decided to part. Me, my mom and my aunt Nasiba, we decided to go to the supermarket and the rest of the party decided to go to my uncle's house. First, we went to Ardus supermarket, in front of the Oloy market and then to Demir, there I bought myself two good looking stylish trousers!!! Then, we decided to go to Aygen shop by the metro and there we had some small problem with the police. We were about to enter the metro, when police officer tried to stp my aunt and asked her for her passport [this is the way police checks other people who came to the capital from the regions of the country.] Man, I was so angry, and told him, to let her go and showed him my credentials, but he wanted to show off himself asshole:((
However, after studying my credentials, he understood that he might have problems, if he to keep her, and he finally let her go.
At my uncle's home, we told him this story, he was also pretty angry, but after some few minutes we forgot this and enjoyed our short stay in his house. We played with his sweet son, Vafoxon, man this little man is so damn clever, the most funny thing was that when we all started talking and the room become quite noise, he told us to hush, because he said there are maniacs:)) How does this tiny man knows this, the thing is that there is really maniac in the city, and he's been killing little girls since August, but they were still looking for him. It is sad, but it was really funny to hear him saing this, he was also repeating every single word I said. Anyway, when the party was over, and we were trying to get a big taxi cab, since there were also my other aunt, Dilorom, and my other uncle, To'lqin, and we succeded, we caught a big van and were pretty happy!!!
This evening we also sat spoking until 2 o'clock in the morning, my aunt, Nigora, was telling some horrible stories about how her husband, whom soon she will get divorced and who is goddamn drunkard and at the moment is at some prison in South Korea, was treating her and kids. Man, I was really horrified to hear this, becuase what she told us was very scary. I hope that this son of the bitch never comes back...
Well, folks this is it for today's and yesterday's ramblings!!!

IE vs Opera

I woke up this morning after seeing some crazy dreams :)))
Came to work right on time, as usually I checked my e-mails, especially the new one I set up yesterday, and of course I removed my old e-mail address!!!
Tried my best to finish my translation of the meeting agenda and then spent whole day browsing the net, well I should mention that last week I was planning to change my laptop operation system from XP to Windows 98, but unfortunately it didn't worked. Of course, I removed all the programs, and after finding out that I just can't install 98, I had to reinstall all the necessary programs. Of course this affected my IE, and I decided to remove Internet explorer, and so i did [well I though that I did so]. Anyway, I installed Opera 6.0, but man it not as good as IE. After some time, I found out that my IE is in place and now I am using both of them. Also I started working on my dad's new website http://khurshiddavron.wol.bz, but there some continuous problems with hosting, darn it. I host my own website there as well, and this problem concerns me a lot, I really hope that this hosting will be soon back to normal!!!

Birthday celebration

Early in the morning I continued my yesterday's translation from the office and finished off with it by 11 o'clock, I was pretty damn happy.
I browsed the net for a while, fixed my mailing list thing, but I think it still needs some fixing, also downloaded some cool hits from www.mp3.uz - man, this website rocks :))
At 1430 we went to Raxshona's place, because it was a double birthday party, Raxshona's, which is on 3 February and her mother's-in-law.
The beginning of the party was quite boring, though in the middle it was pretty interesting. We had a really nice time out there, as usually we talked about different things, and as usually it was really hard to leave their company :))
At home, I watched pretty interesting, though quite a long movie, what else, ah yeah, Feruza called me, but I was at Raxshona's, that's why decided to not answer the call. Well, that's it for my today's ramblings folks.

Seeing off my cousin to Spain

It was quite a cold and snowy day, also there was a lot to translate at work!!! I was hoping to leave my translation until the next week, but our "beloved" boss insisted that I take it with me home. Also, I did some oral translations during meetings with chairmen of some committees. There was even my dad's best friend, but he didn't recongized me, so I went up to him and introduced myself, man he was darn happy to see me and he hugged me, that was really nice...
When the time came for me to leave, my sis called and told me that Vafoshka is here, I was so happy and wanted to see him so much, that after seeing off Nodira I caught a taxi and went home. The funny thing happened in the taxi, someone was also stopping the taxi, so ours stopped and I was really surprised to see someone from my University of the World Languages. However, I never talked to him, that's why I tried to act as if I don't know him, he did the same thing.
Finally, I made it, I came home and saw that it was full of my relatives, it was real fun. The reason for this gathering was that my cousin Anvar, was about to fly to Spain, Madrid. All the realatives living here came to see him off, we had quite a nice evening chat, we sat until 2:00 in the morning, and then time came for Anvar to go, while I was seeing him off, I felt as if I won;t be seeing him for a long time and that I am gonna miss him a lot:(((
After he left, I went to bed, well this is it for today's ramblings!!!
