One of the most controversial and provocative films of the year, Fahrenheit 9/11 is Academy Award-winning filmmaker Michael Moore's searing examination of the Bush administration's actions in the wake of the tragic events of 9/11. With his characteristic humor and dogged commitment to uncovering the facts, Moore considers the presidency of George W. Bush and where it has led us. He looks at how - and why - Bush and his inner circle avoided pursuing the Saudi connection to 9/11, despite the fact that 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis and Saudi money had funded Al Qaeda. Fahrenheit 9/11 shows us a nation kept in constant fear by FBI alerts and lulled into accepting a piece of legislation, the USA Patriot Act, that infringes on basic civil rights. It is in this atmosphere of confusion, suspicion and dread that the Bush Administration makes its headlong rush towards war in Iraq - and Fahrenheit 9/11 takes us inside that war to tell the stories we haven't heard, illustrating the awful human cost to U.S. soldiers and their families. I think that everyone should watch this film!!!
Just finished watching it and I am ful of emotions, especially rage against the US policy and particularly Gerge W. Bush. Someone has to stop this stupid policy, which leads the USA to nowhere... Also, I want everyone to read 1984 by George Orwell and to see for themselves how the society described in this Sci-Fi book resembles todays America!!!
iTunes 7 is full of bugs
What a fool I am to download and install this peice of sh**. I shouldn't have removed my iTunes 6 and install this stupid programme. Anyway, I installed iTunes 7 and tried to connect my iPod Shuffle, but iTunes was actively refusing to see it. Then, I went to Apple.com and tried to find information on how to fix this problem, but when i folowed their instructions it even became worse. I removed QuickTime and my PC started acting weird and I had to reinstall the iTunes 7 once again, since it was coming in bundle with a new QuickTime 7, but it didn't helped. I even tried to roll back the system to the point of installation of the iTunes 7, and still the problem persisted. I made another big mistake by going to the registry and removing Apple thing from there. Finally, after some hours of trying this and that I decided to download QucikTime separately and install it. Thankfully, this thing fixed the problem, and I decided to try iTunes once again, but still it couldn't recognized my iPod :( Once again, I had to remove iTunes and installed another programme instead: iPod access for Windows, but with this software I can only move my songs from iPod to the PC, and not the other way around. I think that I am going to wait for the fixed version of this iTunes, 'cause I visited the iPod shuffle forum and read many comments on this sort of problem, or I'll have to go back to the old iTunes, which is a way much better than this new programme.
Picking nuts while learning German
Today we've been picking nuts at our dacha. But, firstly we cleared the ground around the trees, which took us some hours. We have so many trees and plants at the dacha and looking after them requires time and hard work.
Also, I found a very good tool for learning languages, my iPod, I uploaded all the language courses I have and started listening to them twice a day. It's really effective, since you listen to all the words and translations, while walking in the street or doing some work. I'd recommend all language lovers to use their MP3 players or iPods for learning languages.

Child labour
Just came back from the Yunusabad market and decided to write a post about children pushing carts in the market for money, i.e. if you have any heavy bags or baskets, you just call them and they will help you to carry them by putting them on their carts. We call them "aravakash", and usually these are kids - aged 14-20, who are mostly from the regions. It's sad to see them pushing those carts, instead of studying at school or going to lyceum. I hope that in the near future there'll be less of these children in the markets of Uzbekistan!!!
How about learning Turkish after German?
Well, my dad brought an interesting Turkish magazine: "Haber AJANDA", which is some kind of political magazine. I read some paragraphs and understood about 80% of the text, which is of course owing to my mother tongue - Uzbek. Now, I am considering learning Turkish after German. Don't know why, but somehow I like the way it sounds :)
My cousin's wedding in Samarkand
We arrived to Samarkand on 30th August, in order to participate in my cousin, Zafar's wedding on 31 August. The wedding was wonderful, almost everything was similar to mine, but in the end of the wedding, when we arrived to Zafar's village, we went singing a special Yor-yor song with a torch until his house, it was a real fun. Then, he had to carry his bride until the fire and made three circles around it, a custom left from the times of Zoroastra. Well, I had a real good time at his wedding. We came back to Tashkent early in the morning and then went to our Dacha :)
