Too much downloading for nothing

Well, as you know I am learning German now. Therefore, any audio or language material, which is related to the German language is of special interest to me. So, some days ago I came across an interesting website: FSI Language Courses. I registered and then started downloading Basic German Course 1, which was in total around 500mb, and with my dial-up connection that would take me lots of hours and even more than a day to download. In any case, I left my PC working until the morning and when I woke up next morning, I saw that there were only half of the files downloaded. But the thing, which shocked me was the quality of the sound of each file (except the first audio file), each file had a bubbling poor sound and it was really hard to make out what the lecturer was saying. So, I had to quit downloading the rest of the files, but it was a real waste for me, 'cause I already had downloaded 200mb and there were additional 300mb to download. Anyway, I deleted the rest of the files I downloaded and called it a day.
Another thing, I starting using Google Reader, which is a handy tool for reading your RSS feeds. You may say that I have Opera or Mozilla with built-in RSS reader, but they are not as good as Google Reader. It allows me to save lots of my time, which I spend browsing several websites a day. Another good thing is that you have a special page, which you can share publicly with your friends, so I also decided to share with you some of my links: T-Moor's Shared RSS Feeds, check it out, you may find lots of interesting linguistic materials to read and download!!!!
